Student Choice Awards 2023 

 

 

Every year, the Students’ Union organises and hosts the Student Choice Awards, an opportunity to celebrate the staff and students who have gone above and beyond in their work, voluntary roles or their everyday life. The categories for award are: 

Staff Awards (as nominated by students):  

  • Best Lecturer  

  • Best Course Leader  

  • Best Supervisor  

  • Outstanding Student Support (Non-Teaching/Non-Teaching Services) 

  • The Staff Award for Student Partnership  

Student/Apprentice Awards (as nominated by students and/or staff): 

  • Course Representative of the Year 

  • Student Voice Representative of the Year 

  • Student Councillor of the Year 

  • Apprentice Representative of the Year (England)  

  • Most Inspirational Student 

The Apprentice Representative of the Year (England) Award is new for 2023, in recognition of the commitment and hard work of apprentice representatives. This is for apprentice representatives (Course or Cohort) who work hard to raise the concerns of their fellow apprentices at places such as SSELGs. This award is specific to Apprentice Representatives who are currently studying Operational Policing at one of the five Constabularies/Forces with which USW is partnered. Apprentices who study at a USW campus should use the Course Representative of the Year and Student Voice Representative of the Year award when nominating.  

 

Nominations have now closed and judging is currently taking place. shortlisted nominees. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend the Student Choice Awards presentation evening, which takes place on 25th May 2023, in the Students’ Union building, Treforest campus.
