The Student Choice Awards give students the opportunity to nominate staff members and other students who have made a real difference to their University experience.

The winners in the 2020 Student Choice Award have been announced. Due to to the Covid-19 pandemic, the awards ceremony has been cancelled. There will be, however, a small celebration for the winners in the next academic year.

Who can be nominated for an award?

Any member of staff or student who you feel has made a real difference to your learning/experience at USW can be nominated across the different categories:

  • Who brings your subject to life?
  • Whose teaching always makes you want to learn more?
  • Who listens when you need to ask that ‘obvious’ question?
  • Who makes you feel valued as a learner?
  • Who gave you that really helpful feedback that helped you to move on?
  • Who helps to keep your project or dissertation on track?
  • Who supported your academic progress?
  • Who motivated you to continue studying?

The Students' Union work with students to organise the Student Choice Awards ceremony, now in its eighth year.
