The Student Choice Awards give students the opportunity to nominate staff members and other students who have made a real difference to their learning and development. They recognise innovative and inspiring teaching practices, and the different categories aim to recognise the different people who can make a huge difference to the student experience.

 

The Student Choice Award nominations are for the 2020 Awards will open on February 11th and close on March 11th. The Awards Ceremony will be held in Treforest Students' Union, on Tuesday 5th May.

  • Best Course Leader
  • Award for Student Partnership
  • Outstanding Student Support (Non-Teaching Staff)
     

Student Categories

  • Course Representative of the Year
  • Student Voice Representative of the Year
  • Student Councillor of the Year
  • Most Inspirational Student of the Year

 

Who can be nominated for an award?

Any member of staff or student who you feel has made a real difference to your learning/experience at USW can be nominated across the different categories:

  • Who brings your subject to life?
  • Whose teaching always makes you want to learn more?
  • Who listens when you need to ask that ‘obvious’ question?
  • Who makes you feel valued as a learner?
  • Who gave you that really helpful feedback that helped you to move on?
  • Who helps to keep your project or dissertation on track?
  • Who supported your academic progress?
  • Who motivated you to continue studying?

 

The Students' Union work with students to organise the Student Choice Awards ceremony, now in its eight year.
