Established in 2013, USW Lacrosse is open to all skill sets within the world of lacrosse – whether you’re a complete beginner or a seasoned player, we pride ourselves on being able to teach the fundamentals of lacrosse to all. Every year, we welcome completely new players, so it is a great chance to meet new people without any expectation of previous experience.
We train on Mondays 7pm at the Sports Park, Treforest Industrial Estate (only a 12 minute walk from Treforest Estate train station), and compete in the Western BUCS League on Wednesday afternoons, giving our players the opportunity to travel across the UK competing under the USW brand. In addition to competing against other universities, we promote casual social play, and have strong connections with external teams and clubs that allow us to play friendlies throughout the year.
Because we encourage people of every level of experience, we don’t expect players to already have kit, and therefore we provide all padding, protective equipment, and sticks.
