Badminton has been transformative to my University experience and I have made so many friends along the way! As treasurer, it would allow me to use my experience in economics and business by handling expenditures and funding. Here are some of the key contributions I would like to make: - Help organise activities and trips with efficient planning and funding requirements. - Ensure financial compliance and regulations are adhered to. - Make sure there is clarity in funding and what funds will be used for. - Assist with leading badminton social sessions. I hope you will consider me for the role of Treasurer

Throughout next year I would aim to work on involvement, I really want to get people together, we want new friends to be made, and for people to feel comfortable in the fact that they can go and talk to anyone about their concerns or any ideas they have for the club, especially the committee. As well as this hopefully we'll aim for a more supportive environment, meaning if you are wondering how to do Rhodri's effortless technique, or a 900mph smash, then you can always feel free to ask. Hopefully as I've already played the role of first year rep, some of you will already know me as a friendly face.

After a great year of being involved with social/team badminton, I would enjoy taking on more responsibility next year as a committee member (Treasurer, specifically). USW badminton is a fantastic, supportive, welcoming society, and I would love to contribute to its maintenence in any way I can.

Head Social Sec:

Kelsea Griffiths

As Head Social Sec I would aim to plan a range of drinking and non-drinking events and would use feedback from the events planned this year to make sure that there is a social event that is suited to everyone that is part of the club. I'd like these events to include some more formal events such as another club winter ball, some active events like the Ninja Warrior course we visited this year or our trip to watch the fireworks on the beach, and also continue our house parties and club nights. Over the past year as a social sec, I have managed to develop my contacts with clubs in Cardiff and within the uni, which will allow me to negotiate society deals and collaborate with these people to plan better events and also work with other societies. As an event management student at USW, I have gained a lot of experience planning events both externally and within the club. Events I have planned over the previous year include the Charity Tournament, the Ninja Warrior trip, Golf Fang, the Winter Ball and some of our house parties, I will use these experiences to plan more exciting events and trips next year if elected. I aim to be approachable and inclusive within the club, someone you can come and talk to if you have any questions and an all-round social butterfly :))
