University of South Wales Students' Union has won the Certificate of Achievement for Biggest Improvement in Retail Scores at this year's NUS Charity Trading Awards.
The award recognises the huge strides made across USWSU's commercial services over the past year, from shops to bars to everything in between. It's a standout achievement, especially given how tough the trading climate has been for the sector.
Chief Executive Mark Cadwallader was there to collect the award and said the win reflects the hard work of the whole commercial team.
"This is a standout accomplishment, especially in such a tough commercial climate, and it shows just how far we've pushed ourselves," he said. "A massive shout-out to my incredible commercial colleagues. Your creativity, determination and willingness to rethink what's possible are transforming the services we deliver for our students."
The award is part of USWSU's ongoing push in their journey to become a truly amazing high-quality students' union and comes as a clear sign that the changes being made behind the scenes are paying off for students.
