Award Categories

Every year, the Students’ Union organises and hosts the Student Choice Awards, an opportunity to celebrate the staff and students who have gone above and beyond in their work, voluntary roles or their everyday life. We currently offer five award categories for staff awards and five for student awards - as well as a Special Recognition Award for members of our University community who have shown continuous dedication to student's learning and experience.

Staff Awards

Best Lecturer

We award the Best Lecturer in all three faculties (FBCI, FLSE and FCES) as well as an overall "Winner of Winners".

Best Course Leader

We award the Best Course Leader in all three faculties (FBCI, FLSE and FCES) as well as an overall "Winner of Winners".

Best Supervisor

We award the Best Supervisor in all three faculties (FBCI, FLSE and FCES) as well as an overall "Winner of Winners".

Outstanding Student Support

This award is for non-teaching staff who are dedicated to helping students reach their potential.

The Staff Award for Student Partnership

This award is designed to celebrate those members of staff who consider their students as partners in their learning

Students' Union Staff Member of the Year

Your Students' Union is made up of staff members who work tirelessly to contribute to making your student expereince the best is can possibly be. From helping with fixtures, to supporting your ideas, all the way to just being a helpful face in the SU Shop, this is your chance to show some appreciatetion for an SU Staff Member.
