Welcome to the Nursing Society!
We had a re-launch in December 2024, and we're super proud to say the society is growing in numbers and going from strength to strength.
All fields are encouraged to join from all cohorts; we want the society to be as diverse as possible and led by you guys.
We aim to be both social and educational, providing a community for you to share your journey into nursing!

The society is trying to provide talks and social events every month; that way, you can always attend something around placement and assignments.
To give you a feel for the kind of talks we have, there are guest speakers for topics ranging from homelessness to haematology disorders. You can request us to find speakers for a specific topic, we also try to avoid things that we learn about in the university, so you'll learn something new regardless.
The social side is equally important, we feel, a space to relax, loosen up and have fun with like-minded people! With cohorts being so big, it can be harder to find a smaller group of friends, but hopefully society will help with this. Our social events range from walking Pen Y Fan to attending comedy gigs. We also have a Christmas Ball being organised for 2025!
It's what you guys want it to be, and it's what you make of it! We'd love to have your company, and the more, the merrier.
We ask for a small fee of £30 to help offset some of the costs of talks and activities, making the events either completely free to members or as cheap as possible!
