Student Council Officers

Student Councillors are elected to represent the rights of students who are under-represented or discriminated against. The roles are broken down so that every student at the University is represented by at least two Council members, but it may be more, depending on how they need to be represented. Student Council drives policy and change on matters surrounding student life - all those things that aren't about teaching and learning.

You will need to be committed to listening to, meeting with and representing the students associated with your chosen role. You'll also have to write regular reports and attend Student Council meetings. All of this has to be done in your spare time, but you will be eligible for a bursary, based on your involvement and engagement with the role.
