ASSIGNMENT BUNCHING

THE IDEA

Students wanted to stop assignment bunching where they have lots of assignments or exams during a short time period.

ACTION

• Course Leaders are the best staff to contact with such a concern. If students feel assignment bunching is a concern on their course, they should contact their Course Rep who can discuss this with the Course Leader.

NOVEMBER 3RD

• A Student Voice Representative (Mellissa Wallbridge, SVR for Business 19/20) for this year is going to write their SVR research project on assignment bunching.

"Modules work together to avoid assignment bunching, there's a couple of dates this year where I have three assignments due on the same day."

"Stop having too many assignments in short periods of time e.g. dissertation due at the same time as an essay and an exam."

HOW IT WORKS

1. Students submit ideas during Change Week.

2. Teams of students gather to hack solutions to the biggest problems.

3. Teams pitch their ideas to a panel of University big wigs.

4. SU Officers and teams work with staff to make the ideas a reality.
