Megan champions the student voice for teams, clubs, and societies. She supports and facilitates fundraising and volunteering opportunities and is committed to actively encouraging student engagement.

Currently working on: Making East vs. West bigger, better and more inclusive. I am also working on resolving Wednesday timetabling issues that sports teams face every year.

VP Student Activities

Megan is a 22 year-old Masters student graduating in Analytical and Forensic Science in December this year. Megan completed her bachelor program at Glyntaff campus and has collectively spent 4 years as a student at USW.

During her time at University, Megan has been a dedicated member of the Basketball Team, taking over captain duties during her second year of studies and eventually having oversight of all three Basketball teams. Outside of University, Megan loves nothing more than watching dramas and trashy TV – but is quite happy for the drama to stop there!

"Pull your socs up and get sporty"

  • Continue to work towards resolving Wednesday timetabling issues
  • Create the first East vs. West event inclusive of societies.
  • Improve engagement with Postgrad, International and Mature students within student activities.

“I love that students are given the freedom to create a new society at any time during the year. This freedom allows students to express themselves - no matter how weird or wonderful the society - and find like-minded friends that will stay with them long after Uni has ended.”

Megan works from the Cardiff, Newport and Treforest SU Offices, drop in and say hello or send a quick message to arrange a meeting!
